Membership

Membership of the C21MP Research Centre will be free until August 2026. After that time we will introduce a new financial arrangement which will be announced in due course.

In One Ear – the podcast of the 21st Century Music Practice research centre – started life in February 2026 and is presented by Stefanie Barschdorf and Simon Zagorski-Thomas. The thirty minute podcast is released on the last Thursday of every month and two weeks later an Extended Play version of between 60 and 90 minutes follows along. The podcast features a PhD student and (usually) two other researchers in every episode who also contribute video material that is launched on the website in the three weeks before the podcast release. The featured researchers may have published in the Cambridge Elements 21st Century Music Practice series, participated in one of our Research Challenges or otherwise be of interest to the C21MP community. Please contact us on podcast@c21mp.org if you are interested in being a guest or want to suggest someone else who might fit the bill. Click on one of the links to the podcast page to hear episodes or search for us through your podcast provider.
