Assistant on the Practice Research Methods Research Challenge

Volunteer Research Assistant Information

We are looking for two volunteers to help coordinate the Practice Research Methods Challenge. Research assistants play a key role in making the challenge run smoothly and contribute to the development of C21MP’s research infrastructure. We are currently an independent and unfunded organisation and don’t have the resources for paid assistants.

What does the role involve?

  • Communicating with participants and answering queries
  • Managing submission deadlines and file sharing
  • Coordinating pairing of participants
  • Liaising with the project leads (Simon Zagorski-Thomas and Mine Doğantan-Dack)
  • Supporting the Octopus publication process

Time commitment

Approximately two hours per week over the two-month challenge period. There will be a brief onboarding meeting before the challenge begins.

What do research assistants get?

  • Named acknowledgement in the published outputs
  • Experience of coordinating a practice research publication project
  • Involvement in Stage 2 of the project (formal discussion, resource development)
  • Contribution to C21MP’s developing research infrastructure
